You have had a whirlwind Christmas full of love and that all amazing surprise proposal. so, where to start. Enjoy this wonderful time of well wishers, excitement and just being in love. When you are ready to catch your breath and start thinking about wedding planning, I would love to talk cake and help you create your wonderful centrepiece wedding cake.

If you are wondering what style would work for you well, here are some of those all important trends for 2019.

Travel Themed Wedding Cake

BUTTERCREAM BEAUTIES

firstly, buttercream is here to stay and is usually used for a rustic feel . It is also a fantastic way of showing off those wedding florals. however, with so many types of finishes, buttercream is making it's way into more formal elegant settings. It was the star of the show for one of 2018's biggest weddings of Megan Markle & Harry

Rustic Feel

Whether it is a naked finish or full on buttercream, big fluffy blooms and lashes of wild foliage are a must. even when keeping it small a single tiered cake can look fab! Here are a few ideas below.

Formal Buttercream

This buttercream finish uses contemporary clean lines and more formal display elements. It is a great way to keep the look relaxed but, have that elegant feel while using sugar flowers or fresh flowers to bring the look to life.

FABULOUS FONDANT

A fondant finish cake allows you so much scope and can be used for a formal feel or if you would like something that little bit different. It can be contemporary, elegant and even have a novelty look. Elements from the wedding dress, stationery, theme or the venue itself can be incorporated into the design. It is truly versatile.

The possibilities for your centrepiece wedding cake are limitless. I look forward to talking all things cake here at Broken Spoon Cakes so, contact me to save your date or just for a cake chat.

Congratulations on this fabulous time and enjoy the wedding planning.
