After a lot of hard work and love the first Wedding Cake Collection for Broken Spoon Cakes is complete. Having done the professional photoshoot last month it is such a proud moment to realise something that has been in my mind for so long.
Mallow Castle was such a beautiful location to use for the shoot with so many options for some fab shots. One could not ask for a more atmospheric backdrop.
Inspiration is drawn from fashion from the collections of wedding dress designers such as Mira Zwillinger and Charlotte Balbier. I love the Art Deco period so an art deco wedding head dress was also used for inspiration. Nature also played it's part with hand-painted Love birds and sugar aged wood making an appearance. Copper is so beautiful it also found its place in the collection, intertwining with fashion. We cannot forget the naked cake and given the time of year the design was kept simple with dusted nectarines and peaches being the stars of the show.
